Well, camp has been over for about a week now but the kids are still talking about it. Many of them did not want to go home! We are thankful that the weeks’ activities went off without any accidents or problems of any kind. God is great! A mother of two of the boys asked us what we did to her kids….they arrived back home at noon and promptly fell asleep. She had to wake them up to attend our church services in the favela around 7pm! She said they had never slept so hard before. Another young favela boy was so impressed after his first visit to the mission property that he told his mother that he wants to live here!
Another exciting event this week was that we got a sneak preview of the new bus! The factory called saying it was almost ready and that we could take a look. It’s big, it’s beautiful, and it’s a miracle! We are so thankful to UBC for making this happen. We will be posting pictures on this blog as soon as it is done and we have it in our possession- which should be very soon.
Thanks to everyone for your prayers!
