One of the most rewarding parts of our ministry is to see changes in the children and teens when they come to know Jesus as their Lord. To witness the transformation of young teenaged girls (above) in salvation to singing worship songs and leading younger children’s bible studies is so exciting. Youth groups from the favelas who have participated in spiritual camps here have experienced first-hand how fun it can be to play games, study the word and enjoy a great time of fellowship– without cursing, dancing, or using drugs and alcohol. We have even seen dramatic changes in behavior in some of the “tough” guys even though they have not yet accepted the plan of salvation for themselves. We are truly thankful that the Lord has capacitated us to minister to this age group. Please pray with us that we can reach even more children, teens, and adults in 2009 for our Lord!

Hi JODI!!!!! I found your blogspot through the recent newsletter that Bret forwarded. So good to see you on here. I've been blogging for a little over a year and it's a great way to keep up with what's going on. So I'll be checking in often.
We're so sad about all of the children that are being displaced. Do you know where Agada is? If you see her, tell her we are thinking of her often and praying for her family. Tell her Olivia says HI. Did Bret tell you Olivia got MARRIED???? We are planning a ceremony in June. Crazy! But she is happy and planning to finish school in Georgia.
Tell Pete and the gang that Rick and I said hello!
