Today was free day. We were pretty beat up from yesterday’s digging and really welcomed the opportunity for rest. Milagros had planned a trip to Azua beach, an hour away from Anacaona, where the school is located. The scenery included rice fields, rolling mountains, fresh streams, men plowing fields with oxen, and rows of banana trees. We arrived at the empty beach and were able to enjoy it all to ourselves. Tonight we plan to join in the local church service and share our testimonies.
