Ministering to the poor

This past week we had a wonderful time ministering with a small group from Lakeland, FL in the favelas and at the mission property. We were blessed to receive from the pastors of that group various topics for our Seminary students and wonderful preaching for our churches here. In the favelas we were able to visit, share and encourage many in the Word. The team was able to give out school supplies in a wooden shacked community that we minister to and, to the kids delight, even served hot dogs and drinks to all the children. It was a wonderful week for both the visiting team and for our local team as well. God is Great!
Now we are preparing for a small construction team that is to arrive tomorrow for a week’s worth of evangelizing and construction. Please pray for the strength of our group as we handle the day-to-day ministry responsibilities and the extra load.
